Rubber Trailer [2010]


Rubber is a 2010 French horror comedy film about a tire that comes to life and kills people with its psychic powers. Directed and written by Quentin Dupieux, the film was shown at the Cannes Film festival in 2010 where it had negative critical reception. However, reviews outside of Cannes have been more positive. When an inanimate tire discovers his destructive telepathic powers, he soon sets his sights on a desert town; in particular, a mysterious woman becomes his obsession.

The film is a remake of Kim Ki-young's 1960 film The Housemaid. Released in South Korea since May 13, 2010, the film was recently screened at the Palm Springs Internation Film Festival on January 11, 2011.
