The Mechanic is a 2011 film directed by Simon West and a remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson film of the same name. It stars Jason Statham, Ben Foster and Donald Sutherland. The film follows an elite assassin (Statham) as he teaches his trade to an apprentice (Foster) who is the son of his mentor and close friend Harry (Sutherland) who was murdered. Together, they are determined to avenge Harry's death.
