Surrogates [2009]

Surrogates is an upcoming 2009 science fiction film, based on the 2005–2006 comic book series of the same name. The film stars Bruce Willis, James Francis Ginty, Michael O'Toole, and Rosamund Pike. In the not too distant future, humans live in isolation and only interact through robotic bodies that serve as surrogates. When several surrogates are murdered, a cop (Willis) investigates the crimes through his own surrogate. The investigation forces the cop to bring his human form out of isolation and unravel a conspiracy behind the crimes.

Cold Souls is a 2009 comedy film featuring Paul Giamatti, Dina Korzun, Emily Watson, and David Strathairn. Giamatti stars as a fictionalised version of himself, an anxious, overwhelmed actor who decides to enlist the service of a company to deep freeze his soul. Complications ensue when his soul gets lost in a soul trafficking scheme which has taken his soul to St. Petersburg. The film then follows Giamatti desperately trying to find his soul.
